Established in 1962, Coolabah was one of the first commercially successful cask wine brands in Australia. As the pioneer of the bag-in-a-box concept, Coolabah innovatively introduced the modern version of the traditional European wine “bladder” that collapses as the wine is poured keeping air out which gives the wine a much longer life from going off.

With a unique package and a range of fine varieties, Coolabah, from its initial launch, became an instant classic and a much loved brand for all Australian wine drinkers.

Our smart and stylish range of casks, with their unique and distinctive packaging provided wine drinkers across the county with good, reliable and inexpensive wine that could be stored easily and enjoyed ‘on tap’.

Coolabah was and still is the perfect partner for the quintessential Aussie lifestyle as it’s convenient for parties, barbecues, the beach and just about any get together with friends and family.

Today, whilst tastes and trends have changed Coolabah has remained somewhat of an Australian classic. A cask icon that has been enjoyed for over 50 years and continues to delight a new generation of Australian wine drinkers.

From 2015, Coolabah has been expanding its brand presence to many international markets with more exciting bottled ranges. Now this Australian icon is endeavouring to introduce more sophisticated and premium wines to the world on a much broader stage.

Wickham Hill Winery is a 22,000-tonne crushing capacity winery located in Riverina, the largest wine region in Australia. We also utilise long term supply from top regions such a Coonawarra, Barrosa and Margaret River, etc. Our five-star winemaker team is dedicated to create a unique and consistent profile for Coolabah. And with the experienced wine-making techniques, sufficient supply network all over the major regions in Australia and diversified varietal selection from entry to premium level, we continue to bring the picturesque wine tasting experience to our customers.
